Personalization

Many email marketers find it beneficial to incorporate some form of personalization in their welcome emails, whether it is a simple "Dear Lindsey," or the inclusion of your nearest location to their home address. If you're going to collect anything other than an email address, use it!

It might also be a good idea to include a subscriber's login or profile information in the welcome email and encourage the recipient to save it as an easy way to access his or her account in the future. You want to make this an easy process so the consumer doesn't feel trapped on your list.
