AOL is forging ahead with its plan to create up to 30 new websites by the end of the year. The latest to be announced is a women's lifestyle website that will launch in the next two to three months.
AOL already focuses on women with AOL Living, which covers a wide variety of topics, such as parenting, health, diet and fitness. The new site will skew toward a younger female audience and will focus on style, pop culture, sex and food, similar to Yahoo's recently launched Shine.
The still unnamed site will be a counterpart to AOL's "Asylum," a website geared toward younger men that features content like "50 most memorable bedroom pin-ups" and "Worst celebrity tattoos."
Earlier this month, AOL launched the AOL Technology Network, a series of tech blogs that allows advertisers to integrate campaigns across all its sites.
