WB stands for web broadcasting

Warner Brothers has good news for fans of the old WB television network. The WB, which merged with UPN in 2006 to become the CW, is being revived as an online destination that will stream full-length episodes of network favorites like "Everwood."

Bruce Rosenblum, president of Warner Brothers' television group, said in an interview with The New York Times that the company will focus on "premium ad-supported digital destinations that are demographic-specific."

The revived WB follows in the path of Hulu, a joint venture between NBC Universal and News Corp. that streams full length TV shows and movies. Despite predications of failure, Hulu quickly sold out of its advertising revenue after it launched in March.
